What is Kundalini?
Tantra teaches us that our life energy lies dormant and is "asleep" in Muladhara Chakra (at the bottom of the spine). Through yoga techniques and tantric lovemaking we can
awaken this energy which will rise up through our 7 chakras. Each one of these chakras resonates with a certain level of consciousness in our being. One of the aims in the
practice of Tantra is to awaken Kundalini gradually so that it can rise up through our spinal column opening up each of the chakras on its way up. In this way our level of
consciousness is raised and purified through the awakening of the chakras.
Kundalini has to be awakened carefully though. There are plenty of stories which tell about symptoms people get by raising the Kundalini too fast. It is like shooting too
much electricity through an electrical circuit which is not ready yet to receive the large amount of current. Before we can awaken Kundalini we have to prepare our system
through the systematic and gradual appliance of Yogic and Tantric exercises which harmoniously open and purify the chakras and the interconnecting circuits in the body.
Here we will briefly run through the chakras. In time there will come more information about the individual chakras

Understanding the chakras and the psychology related to each Chakra is of imperative importance in understanding ones own level of consciousness.
Specific tantric and yogic techniques awaken specific chakras and knowing on which Chakra you have weaknesses can help you to choose the correct techniques to help you
overcome your obstacles and thereby to obtain peace and bliss.
In our weekend courses we speak more about the Chakras and we have a couple of sessions with couple yoga positions. Yoga done in couples on specific Chakras is a very
efficient way of purifying and strengthening a Chakra.
Until next time we wish you happiness and bliss :-)
